How do i pursue my dream of becoming a commercial pilot?

Boards are starting in a day, and haven't thought much about my college. I've enrolled in a few BBA courses for the safe side. I haven't spoken about this to my parents too and wanted to get a good munch of knowledge on this field before I propose this to them. Of course, I did google this, the result says I should get a DGCA medical examination first, then clear theory papers like navigation and a few more, and then enroll in an Aviation school. Now where do I get the medical examination done? Where do I attempt these papers? No clue. A science student by choice, I do have the basic requirements to fulfill my education qualifications-Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry. Along with that, I would call myself physically fit. Not the abs guy, but very much into cycling, sports, and fitness. To the experienced ones here, I leave this to you, please let me know what it takes to become a pilot, and how you achieve it- Edit-I'm 17 now, and will turn 18 by the end of October-
