Living alone in Delhi as a girl

I recently shifted to delhi and for some reason I feel very scared about living here all alone. I never wanted to shift here but Sadly things didn't go as planned and I had to end up here. I do not hate the city. I find many things quite convenient here and so far the weather has been easy on me (used to cold). However I dread the anticipated blazing summers, and I fear a lot regarding my safety. I do feel lonely but not so much given the city is quite bustling. How many of you live alone? How do you safeguard your safety? What are some things I should always keep in mind?? Any advise is appreciated.
