Will it be creepy if I approach people in public places?

Greetings dear ladies and gentlemen, I'm a MBA student currently doing my final year project. I have to collect data for my project and for that I'm planning to visit shopping malls, stores and places with high people movement . Although my questionnaire requires no personal information, will it be okay to approach someone or am I causing a public nuisance. Also are there any subs / sites/ places where I can post the link for my forms to collect data?
