Is the Fourth Pillar Still Alive in Tamil Nadu?

I've been observing a concerning trend in Tamil Nadu recently. Reports suggest that in the state assembly, live telecasts of ruling party speeches are prioritized, while those of the opposition are blacked out. Today, the Speaker reportedly admitted that due to "technical changes," they couldn't display the opposition's speeches. This explanation seems far from convincing. This raises serious questions about transparency and the impartiality of those in power. Moreover, we are seeing a rise in cases against individuals who speak out against the government, while those who commit actual crimes appear to roam freely. It feels like the focus has shifted from maintaining law and order to suppressing dissent and protests. Are we witnessing the erosion of the Fourth Pillar of democracy—the media and freedom of expression? If this trend continues, what does it mean for the future of accountability in Tamil Nadu? and I personally feel like we are shifting towards news and media censorship I'd love to hear your thoughts on this.
