Bucket and mugs in star hotels

Honest question!!! Can I request bucket or atleast mug in 4 or 5 star hotels or is it weird ? I really feel embarassed to even ask them ,idk it's not like I'm doing something wrong but I feel embarassed. Will my request be considered by the hotel??!!
