Did I make a mistake?

Bought this Mahindra E2o 2016 for 2.5 L , faced a few problems 1. Charge jumped from about 38% to 0% and the only way to get it running was to charge it and it was like 9:30pm in a residential area about 5kms away from home , luckily I found one person who wanted to help and I got the car to charge till like 20% , it took about two hours by the time I was done and then I drove back home . 2. I was driving home from college and about 50metres from home the charge again jumped from about 25%to 0 . I’m new to Ev’s so idk if it’s normal or not or if I’m doing something wrong .
