Omkara
I just finished watching the Bhardwaj trilogy with my wife, ending it with Omkara. For some reason we had already watched Maqbool and Haider first (which we LOVED, especially Maqbool) but never managed to see Omkara. We finally did, and to be honest, it felt so jarring and all over the place for us. Let me state each and every thing that felt inconsistent to us. \- Pankaj Tripathi was a friend to AD's Omkara? When did he turn foe? \- Why did Omkara make such a big deal out of Kesu drinking and beating people during his initiation? \- Why did Omkara never confront Kesu or Dolly regarding his suspicions? Why did he always rely on Langda? The film never showed us if he always preferred to trust Langda over Kesu since he did make Kesu Baahubali. \- The climax of the movie, with Langda making up an elaborate plan to present "evidence" to Omkara felt so forced and convenient. During Kesu's call to Langda, why did Langda refer to Dolly as Kesu's "Laila" in front of Omkara? Wouldn't that prove that Langda had been betraying Omkara for a long time too, by hiding the fact that he knew Kesu and Dolly had a thing going on? Also, as Kesu was talking to Langda, not once did he mention Chaman Bahaar (Bipasha Basu's character), which conveniently for Langda incriminated him further in his crime. I really want to like the movie like I did the other too, I really do. But the others didn't have this much of plot inconsistency as this one. Or maybe I am missing something? Please feel free to correct me. (This is my first post in this sub. Please let me know if this shouldn't be posted here.)3
