Got Scammed!! Near Arekere Gate

I wanted to share my experience to warn others. Today, near Arekere Gate, I encountered a man who approached me and asked if I knew English. He began telling me a story about how he came for an Infosys interview, showed me an IBM badge, and claimed he works there. He said he lost his bag and needed help to get back to Chennai, where he supposedly lives. I told him I didn’t have money, but he kept pleading and even asked me to get help from someone else. I suggested calling his relatives or family, but he claimed his phone was also lost, and he didn’t remember any numbers. Finally, after much back-and-forth, I told him I only had ₹300 and could spare ₹200. He promised me he’d help me get a job at Infosys since he was a "project manager" there. Funny enough, earlier, he mentioned he works at IBM. Long story short, I ended up giving him ₹200 after his constant pleading. Looking back, it’s clear this was a scam, and I feel foolish for falling for it. Please be cautious and don’t let emotions sway you. Have any of you faced something similar? Stay safe!
