Noise pollution and blaring Music in my locality. What can I do?

They're playing consistent music since 3 days near my house on speakers after sunset. It started on 24th evening for Christmas and goes on till 11. Then on Christmas it went on till 12. Yesterday was a little better. Today they are celebrating or conducting an Ayappa festival (I'm not sure). They've been playing music since 9 in the morning. It's impossible to stay at home. What can we do? Shouldn't there be a capping on the volume? I'm scared to lodge a complaint because I'm pretty sure it will backfire. The local goons have a political backing from both local parties. My mum is having a severe migraine triggered by this noise pollution. On other days we usually turn a blind eye but this is bordering on nuisance.
