Why is homophobia so normalised in Aligarh?

Edit 1: Someone wrote a snarky comment implying that it's because of the Muslim population so I want to address: I get what you are trying to say that Muslims are relatively more homophobic than Hindus but let me assure you, hindu majority or Hindu only areas or region also face similar homophobia it's perhaps because of lack of awareness and toxic masculinity that's enshrined in our culture either way we need to move ahead and not be stuck.. Through this post I was hoping to find fellow queer folks from Aligarh.
