Basically every scammer and his distant cousin knows that if you go to a Malayali and talk in a semi-educated and authoritative manner, they will fall for whatever nonsense you are pushing and fork over their money. This “CSR Scam” is very interesting because it is basically people in positions of authority - local bodies, politicians, self-help groups etc - who have been scammed.
