Why does everyone call themselves middle class in India? I’m from Mumbai and I’ve heard ‘we’re a middle class family’ from my parents all the time growing up. Not a humble brag, but I don’t think people who can afford a 6cr house in Mumbai (Chembur suburb, albeit) are exactly middle class.
