Saraswati vs sri yantra I’m on the verge of working with Saraswati. So I’ve been looking for a ring to keep her close. However, I’m having a hard time differentiating Sri Yantra and Saraswati. The interlocking triangles used are very similar. Are they considered the same thing? I found a ring with two interlocking triangles within a lotus flower which is generally the symbol for Saraswati. 2 0 replies

Where to start with e-commerce and Shopify? (I will not promote) Background: 3 time founder/ceo/entrepreneur here. All three businesses are alive and well and at various stages of growth. I have different equity structures/funding etc with those businesses (actively running 2 as CEO, but likely even narrowing my focus to just one as it is doing well and scaling with new revenue streams etc). Ideally would like to grow it and then transact at a certain point, in the next 2-5 years. 2 of the businesses are B2B and one is a B2C and while not a non-profit, the strategy... 2 1 replies

Is rave and underground party culture still a thing in India? I’ve heard a lot about rave and underground parties, especially in other countries, but I’ve never actually seen any footage or experienced it myself here in India. I’m wondering, why is there so little rave culture here compared to other places? Is it still a thing in India or has it faded away over time? I’ve never come across any vids or much talk about it locally. If anyone’s been to one or knows about how the scene is in different cities, I’d love to hear your thoughts or... 3 0 replies

How do you know if you can work? I've never worked and my family has always told me I'm mentally disabled. I have some orthopedic problems so at home I prefer to lie down most of the time. I can't umagine myself sitting down 8 hours a day - the pain in my legs and back will be great. But generally: If you have been long-term unemployed, how do you know if you're capable of work? 3 4 replies

I need a haircut I’m an American who is visiting Delhi, and India, for the first time and will be here for an extended stay. As the post title states, I need a haircut. Should I just look for a local barber or go to a salon? I have no preference if my hair is cut by a woman or a man as long as the desired outcome is achieved. Is it culturally ok for a woman to cut a man’s hair? What is the best way to search for this and similar... 2 8 replies

Lost on where to start. I will not promote Hi guys, I’m currently working for a plumbing company and have been for 10 plus years. I’ve had a dream of owning my own business. I’m really starting to hate working for someone else. I want to start an equipment rental business, skid steers, excavators, lifts and much more. Where I live is a huge upcoming place and there’s no where to rent anything. You have to drive 30+ mins to find a mini excavator or anything. I’d like to be right in the middle of everything. Really don’t... 3 7 replies

How do parents raise their children in India? I'm just wondering how parents raise their children in India. A lot of the Indian exchange students I (M, 21) go to college with in the USA are VERY studious and hard working people. How did your parents raise you when you were a child? 1 23 replies
How much shame did your parents put you through? I was a NEET for 2 years and I'd say they didn't shame me all that much if at all, never actually felt attacked. Been employed for a year now though in a job I hate and want to switch... I still live with my parents and the moment they heard that they got a bit upset questioning if I'll repeat the same mistakes. Also denied all options I mentioned I'd been considering switching to, which were different trades, saying they weren't suitable for me. They didn't berate me.... 4 3 replies
