Why hasn't there been a proper census since 2011? Why hasn't the government done a census in almost 1.5 decades? I am studying the subject urban community development and it's been hell to get any proper information on Indian cities and states. All the information available is mostly from 2011 census but it's too dated now, almost 15 YEARS OLD... Information like job demographic in agriculture vs non-agriculture fields don't even count the huge IT industry because it wasn't as big as it is now.
