Should we start using Yumnak as surnames for newborns in our family instead of Singha or Devi in Meitei culture? What are your thoughts on this? To the meitei folks here, I've been reflecting on the ongoing situation in Manipur and recent post on Roy from Arunachal. Ik mostly people from Manipur widely adopt their yumnak or sagei as surnames.
