Intellectual culture in Uttar Pradesh? Why do you think UP does not have an intellectual culture like Bengal or Delhi? I very rarely see things like book fairs, public lectures, exhibitions, walking tours etc happening in even the major cities. All we have are religious programs (bhajan-kirtan), sometimes qawwali or kavi sammelan, and protests.
