Do Western scholars give too much importance to the Manusmriti? Hello, I'm from Argentina, and I'm currently reading the Rig Veda in a Spanish translation. After finishing it, I was planning to read the Manusmriti. Sadly, the edition I have is an indirect translation through a French version, so I assume a lot will be lost in translation. I got the impression—though I might be wrong—that Western academia discusses this text extensively. But in reality, is it as important as it seems? I’ve seen in previous posts that this might not be the case. From what I’ve read, it’s... 5 15 replies

UBER AUTO is turning cash only I have always preferred UBER over other apps simply because my experience has ALMOST always been good while using UBER, a very anecdotal reason to prefer one app over the other one ik. I sometime do not mind paying a bit extra even if other apps are offering better prices. But this seems like a step in the wrong direction? Kinda contradicts the whole DIGITAL INDIA initiative. Part of the charm of these auto hailing apps is that you don't have to carry cash, saves you from the hassle... 5 0 replies

Best social media for build-in-public? (I will not promote) What social media is best suited for building in public? Anyone has success stories, especially in cases where you didn’t start out with a large following? - X: easy to share things, but has gotten insanely political - BlueSky/threads: both seem pretty small? - LinkedIn: probably easiest for me personally, as I have a decent amount of connections - Reddit: very anti self-promotion. Starting a sub-reddit for my product might be difficult to get started? Which ones do you prefer, and how did you get started? 4 0 replies
