I never have and probably never will use dating apps. A friend wants me to try bumble friends or smth but that's as far as I'll go.

Dating apps are too hook-up focused. Too one dimensional and crass. For us guys the odds are worse but more than that it basically commodifies you and limits you to just a few sentences and a picture.

I've had an amazing time with women I never thought I'd like once I spent time getting to know them. The swiping concept just ruins all of that. Idk it feels bad to be on those apps and even use them, I can't imagine how it must be for women.

Besides this I earn decently, come from a kind of well known family and have some family wealth so I have to be more on guard. All this makes dating apps just a bad choice.

I think the best way to meet people organically is just.. keep your eyes open, talk to everyone, make connections and just be yourself (while also being more outgoing). A friend of mine found his wife through his coworker's wife's friend lol. Anything can happen.
