I was honestly surprised to hear and see people talking about immigration in Mysore when I visited this time (living abroad). The global social media trend about immigration hasn’t spared even the villages and small towns. In the grander scheme of things, it’s good to be aware that this topic is mostly weaponised by politicians and big tech companies to grab attention, power and money at the cost of dividing the society.

On the other hand this topic can be emotional and people would feel like expressing. Perhaps creating a safe space where people can be heard, seen, understood (and taking responsibility for their feelings) maybe a healthy way to go about it? However this can get out of scope quite easily for this sub. Could having some kind of a template for sharing help? I don’t know!

I suggest you not to switch. Speaking and reading tamil is easy. But writing is too difficult even for a tamil guy myself. getting marks in tamil as a subject from the TN board is also tough. They are too strict.
