  1. Have we learned nothing?

  2. Got grilled with a bunch of questions about my work and employment status and it's been really bothering me so I need to vent.

Yeah man, I had a very similar experience with church. Much of the advice they gave me was get a job lol ALLLLL OF THEM always told me that when I talked about things going on in my life. Got a part time job, ended up abusing drugs more heavily because of being harassed, quit the job and left the church... Thanks!....

I don't think the average church person is really able to or willing to give us the kind of support we need. A loving, understanding and compassionate person to gently nudge us rather than just bash us with shame into getting some crappy job lol.

But yeah man hold on to that faith in God you have, that's going to lift you up far far more than any human every could. "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path" Pslam 119:105 KJV

It’s not just equity there is another aspect which is mobility, rich and poor women are both are disproportionately affected when it comes to mobility.

The free bus scheme for women is a powerful tool for enhancing the mobility for the women. Regardless of their economic status, many women face significant barriers to freedom of movement due to societal norms, cultural constraints and safety. By making public transport accessible at no cost, this initiative helps level the playing field and provides women with greater independence, opportunities, and access to resources. It’s not just about affordability. it’s about empowering women to move freely, participate in the workforce, and engage more fully in society.

As a tax payer, I don’t mind my tax money going towards free bus rides for women. If paying a little extra tax means my sisters and mothers can travel more freely and safely, then it’s a small price to pay. Women’s mobility is not just a matter of convenience. it’s an empowerment issue, and supporting this initiative is a way to help create a more equal and accessible society for all women.

I mean IISc, IISERs hai which have a pretty good rep in academia, India and abroad. ISI and CMI hai which again are quite renowned. Possibly engineering ke jitna nahi hai but if u wanna pursue it I don't think there's a lack, when more people enroll in pure sciences out of passion I'm pretty sure more elite colleges will develop/emerge
