why is regionalism so strong in india? i am not saying it is not a good thing but for some people, their "region" is more important that India and its sovereignty. what is the reason for this and how can we reduce this mindset?
Good question,
It will get more extreme with internal migration within India.
India is a subcontinent with many different established cultures and languages.
Historical outside of big cities like Mumbai, Delhi, etc. There was limited interaction with other Indian cultures and groups in rural India.
Punjabi Sikh has nothing in common with Tamil Hindu. Then both are called Indian.
Different European countries have more cultural in common than different Indian states.
French people from France and Belgian from Belgium have a similar culture, and in Belgium, most spoken languages are french, Dutch, and German.
Same with Germany and Austria, both speak German. German language is spoken in Switzerland and other European countries.
Europe was ruled under Roman- Greek empire united for long periods. Similarly, Napoleon and German reich empires ruled most of Europe.
So, yes, India is like Europe.
Most Indians are brown in skin color and Hindus. Like, European are mostly white and historical Christians.
When India was created, the british administrators all thought. India will Balkanize within a few years.
The only reason that did not happen was Pakistan and economics.
Pakistan became a common enemy for Indians and created Indian identity and vision.
After independence from the British, all regions of India were poor and reliant on the central government. Regional parties did not have economic means to consider separatist ideas.
This can change if economic development in India will not be equal. -

Surprise! The media just discovered Bidenomics works.
sigh. Well, she’s right about this at least:
>Democrats should extract several lessons from this pattern. First, the media cannot be relied on to tell the success story. Republicans have a reliable propaganda machine in right-wing media; Democrats enjoy no such luxury. (One need only look at the economic coverage during Biden’s term to see this is true.)
>Second, it follows that Democrats must do a much better job touting their own successes and communicating with low- and no-information voters. Biden joked he should have put his name on the stimulus checks; he was right.
>And finally, before Democrats change their philosophy or dump capable leaders, they might simply run a 24/7 hard-hitting critique of the Trump economic agenda. That will set the stage for the midterms. -

Best falooda in recent times
Kishore, Badri and National are the old three establishments known for falooda. Kishore has gone downhill probably more than a decade now. I find National the best and then comes Badri. -
The harrasment indigenous Sylhetis of Barak valley face in mainstream Assam is disgusting and disappointing
There is no point in providing information to Assamese extremists, they want to be ignorant. let them be.
Let them think that Barak Valley is Bangladeshi.
In truth, They are more in South East Asia than Indians. Where they literally immigrated. where is Barak Valley people didn't. the formation of Bangladesh country split the Syleiti kingdom.
So my humble advice is to Go back to your counties you South-East-Asian/ China, immigrant. Live India Alone.
