I’m thinking of you with compassion and strength. I am still getting out of that weird purgatory. I realized that nothing holds us here except for what we hold on to. That being said, the things we cling to are/can be beautiful. It’s easy to say that nobody cares, but the truth is that only you can truly care about yourself. It seems like reconnecting with the world as it is (not how you remember or think of it) could help bring you some inner peace. Highly recommend talking/asking your mom these life questions and what keeps her going. Obvi it’s not going to be the same for you, but I find it’s good to know that everyone is telling themselves a story to keep pushing. One thing often overlooked imo is love. Start talking to yourself out loud when you are alone. It really breaks the internal autopilot and helps you see your physical presence. Reconnect with the natural world: take a walk or sit outside for 5 minutes just looking around. Listening to music really helped with my productivity because it made annoying chores more manageable. Don’t forget that you are capable, as we all are. Even if you haven’t done anything at all, if you are sincerely willing to learn with honesty and care, people will respect you and your mission/discipline. Moreover, it reinforces the truth of your capabilities and progress. Please let go of the supposed shame and “shoulds”. Nobody genuinely cares about that stuff. Instead try to see what options you have and how they might pan out; see what brings you uncomfortable excitement. I promise if you think these things thru, you’ll have more rewarding rot time (or whatever you wanna call it), and the money to have a comfy bed to do said rotting. When all is said and done, on a practical level, the world’s resources are dwindling quite fast and there is/will not be enough for everyone. To keep the lifestyle and comfort you want, you have to take the resources before someone else does. In the aggregate end, nothing will exist and nobody will even remember these past 8 years man. Maybe find something you want to be able to have or do but need a certain lifestyle/funds for (like a dog or a car). Also f anyone who thinks you owe them an explanation. Stay true to what you’re feeling🫶

P.S. hate the term “wagecuck” and if anyone here says that, just know they are mad you’re tryna take control of your life and not leech on others resources
