I did this too when I lived at home because they were really taking my salary for granted. I also used to pretend to work longer hours so I could spend time with friends. When you’re a woman not only will parents take your salary but they also expect you to do the housework and chores and meet social obligations too and this left me with hardly any quality down time or money.
