Today I was scrolling on my phone on the side of a road. A woman approached me from behind I got a bit startled and grabbed my phone a little tightly towards myself not knowing who was behind me. The way she spoke felt odd to me. She was holding a kid on one hand and a box of bangles on other. I stuttered and hesitated to speak for a moment. I didn't like the way she spoke and said to her to ask somebody else for the phone call. She said - So you think I'm a thief right? and she walked away whispering abuses at me in what felt like the Kannada language. Then there appeared three passersby she asked them for a phone call and she said to them see that guy(me)? he thinks of me as a thief I just asked him for a phone call can i use your(of those men) phone to make a call?

I was like wtf? how rude of her? Is she mad or what? Glad I didn't give her my phone. She felt like a troublemaker who didn't know how to speak well!
