Trump’s Shameful Campaign Against Transgender Americans
The NYTimes actually had an anti transgender activist as their go to gender writer - which they never disclosed.
The one writer who came through was Charles M. Blow and he recently left. Even as he wrote columns defending trans people, the comments were mostly vicious and hateful with many LGB responses throwing their trans members under the bus demanding the T be removed from their acronym.
Forgetting Stonewall - shamefully forgetting who led the rebellion.
All articles focused on people outside of the mainstream who had serious issues - not relating to their gender. Yet they were used as "typical."
Not once did I see a happy , most likely boring, lawyer or programmer with 2 kids living in the suburbs , involved in scouting and T-ball, helping with homework, sliding exhausted into bed with their spouse having late night discussion over who should take which kid where next day.
They exist.
And many of them wish they could have started transitioning sooner - at least blockers , yes even surgeries- so they wouldn't have to deal with incongruous tells that linger on. Medicine that did not exist years back for them .
No interviews with them. Only with people who should have been properly screened for issues - just as is done with those who want reductions and medicine for no trans reasons. I have a niece who would have been extremely short without blockers - is it life threatening? Not at all. She would have survived just fine ... Unhappily.
Do intersex regret choices made for them as newborns, absolutely. But that is society thrusting a myopic gender upon them. Not allowing them to make their choices.
But once again, interview individuals who have gone on to live healthy loving happy lives.
Didn't happen. -
Latent going the AIB way
Probably Samay is going to take a break due to too much attention and it will be a smart move. Whenever something or someone has sharp increase in fame, money, traction suddenly ppl start criticising, giving hate, spreading negativity bcz they are jealous & try to pull the leg.
That's why billionaires hide wealth, Founders step down as CEOs. When Kapil was at peak ppl hated him even one of friends keeps hating him calling him he body shames or makes fun of short comings, blah, blah, blah.. failing to understand they do this in a comedic environment. And these ppl themselves talk nonsense about ppl or making fun without remorse. See how Kapil had a big down fall, ppl criticised many movies too that they flopped and are now crazy to bring it back.
I don't judge what Samay or any comic says, if it's so bad why is it gaining so much traction & fame that in few months Samay is talk of India. Who's watching if it bad, ppl are enjoying and also getting hurt? Ppl criticise reels and cringe content but I everyday see addicted ppl in public places watching it shameful on speaker. -
Letter: Is Jesus too “woke” for you? If you support Trump for any reason, you’re not a Christian.
Or, you know, maybe that's just who christians are and all the jesus stuff is propaganda. -
Tether CEO "All people alive ... will move to new QUANTUM-RESISTANT addresses”
As a note- while I point out the risks of waiting on solutions, I've come to believe it is better for all of crypto if bitcoin remains strong. And is why I've suggested ideas (there are some BIPS out there for technical viewpoints- my ideas are more on how to safely have people begin preparing for transition without code changes).
I still do believe there is a wide open market for utility that isn't competition to Bitcoin as store of value. -

Why always punekars!
Maybe cause punekars don't have a sea nearby -
Lol
It's been a while since I made a non-specific trip to the store. At our local low-cost giant warehouse super market chain, eggs were just under $10 per dozen. I couldn't help but laugh when I saw $50 on a pack of 5-dozen eggs. I'm glad that I like eggs, but can definitely get along without them, and do like ramen. We're all undergrads now... except for undergrads, they have to find something cheaper and worse.
Off topic, but do any people who are trying to be better adults feel like you're just being eternally stuck? I remember that when I was in college, my lame-ass dream was to see bills show up and just pay them. That's all I really wanted to be able to do instead of trying to float an electric bill, etc. I guess that how that I have a job that pays money, live by myself, I'm living that "dream." Like I'm just going to be borderline broke no matter what. Inflation has always been a thing, but this just seems like a joke. -
Letter: Is Jesus too “woke” for you? If you support Trump for any reason, you’re not a Christian.
If you think that Trump brand Christianity isn’t Christian, you don’t understand Christians.
I, as a father am wary of my children around practicing Christians. The history through the current practices and beliefs of Christianity is not something I want around my children -
Why would you do that?
Because having a 'UP' number plate is not enough to explain everything.
