If you want to lose weight, only way is to count your calories. Eat 500 less. Your calories should be high in protein and less in carbs and fat initially, then change the proportion as per your progress.

Workout should be cardio once a week, weight training 4 days 1 day rest.

Results will be faster initially and then slower a bit later.
