Maruti aftersales services is mind-boggling
I gave Maruti a 4 star after first service just because I think 4 is decent, and I didn’t take the car personally, but it came back with some water smear marks (probably uneven drying or exposure to dust while drying)
They called me, told me the agents commissions get affected so please change it to 5 star, in return they gave me a free wash coupon.
Maruti folks have always been solid to me. No judgement “Oh you don’t want to wait 9 months for a top line Ertiga so getting a basic Eeco in 2 weeks? No problem sir, we will do it” (needed a car to take some luggage regularly for work purposes asap) -

The only way you win is to stop playing the game at all.
No you beat the game , just like how videogames potray there may be obstacles or challenges in the game but you should be able to beat them ,keep on trying and once you get over, you will upgrade yourself your level increases or charisma then you finish it -

I'll use the same capitalistic logic here, so what does one think women would do with that extra ₹15-20 they save on bus travel per day? Are they going to buy an acre estate or villa in Nungambakkam/Adyar?
No they'll simply spend that money on other products, most of which are likely made in India, sold by a retailer in India for which they'll pay GST which you guessed it, goes to India. They're not going to go for Thailand tourism or evade taxes by investing in Mauritius.
If anything these free buses, that too only in non deluxe buses, allow them to find work farther away without travel fees which will encourage their participation in workforce. Which in turn increases our economy as women often work for less wages than men (we never whinge about it do we?), leading to more cheaper goods produced. They then end up buying more of these goods, thereby inducing a positive cycle to the economy.
So whichever way you look at it, this is an investment made by the Govt. Stop acting as if the current ticket prices are making huge bank for the Govt. They're mostly operating on a loss because its a service provided as an investment so that more individuals get cheaper transport, lower traffic (and pollution) which once again results in a positive loop for the economy.
This isn't socialism, this is textbook capitalism to generate cheap labour for industries and it's existed for a long time. Will you go and tell the Chinese govt in 1980s that building more schools and colleges is a waste of money? No you wont because they're 3X richer than us now. -

Despite coming from a wealthy family, my mom’s friend had to rely on her husband for transportation—he being so stingy wouldn’t even allow her to use the car, or even give her money to travel by bus. After this scheme was introduced, she began traveling to temples with my mom which she says gives her some mental peace. For many women like her, this scheme is a boon. -

Probably the only government scheme I support. I know someone who got full scholarship in a good college but her family were reluctant to send her as she had to take two buses to college. Her family were very poor and couldn't afford this extra cost. Somehow they managed but still she used to not come to college 2-3 days a month because she couldn't afford the bus pass. This happened 7-8 years ago. -

Do tariffs work? ANYONE? Donnie Trump shouldn't have slept through his economics classes.
Tariffs combine very, _very_ poorly with The Jones Act.
