Had a similar experience with Bangalore police after I met with an accident. They insisted I spoke in Kannada. Had to run around to get a local friend to just hold a conversation with them.

If you're really going to deter immigrants from coming to Karnataka then the day won't be far behind when they ask for a separate country altogether.

I understand the importance of knowing the local language but you can't expect people to be reliant on emergency services only after they learn Kannada.

Also it's not like they don't know English. I'm sure all of these losers would've cleared some PSC exam with bare minimum English speaking skills.

Midcaps and smallcaps are overvalued. Overall nifty 50 companies are not overvalued. Some companies command a premium, it has its own reasons. Once the earnings catch up, the PE might remain steady or reduce. Buy good things during dips not shit.
