Calcutta was the epicentre of British India. And now Kolkata doesn't have that former glory. What happened?
I'm shocked to read that Bengal now has low PCI than Odisha.Â
You guys fucked up bad for a coastal city. So much potential for trade yet you successfully failed. Congrats with Mamata. Â

Caste is in Indians mind & blood. Difficult to eradicate it.
It's quite interesting to see, there are anglo indians , nagas, even afghani exchange students studying and parsis too.
But we only hear complaint form a single section of caste strata, which frankly tends to drop out most and consistently forms poor in project building(not me, iit dhanbad proff. Said) -

I always had this doubt that this happens due to excess accumulation of gas under the top layer right? So why don't we just pop the top layer. That should defuse it right. -

Have you been on a boat cruise in Kochi? Goes about 20kms into the sea. Rs750/- for 2 hour cruise with tea and snacks. Not bad if you haven't experienced sea before. The DJ in last 30 mins is horrible but you can step out onto the d ck and enjoy. Any other longer cruises from Kochi that are good?
I had a subpar experience with Minar Cruise. People weren’t welcoming and such an awful mix of songs. The boat is ok for the price, just that the service could be a lot better. -

Sick of not being able to find good hotels. Please suggest clean hotels which cost less than ₹1500.

If you need it for a few hrs there are dime to a dozen. Use brevistay app it's safe and secure. In case for the night or something and not too costly there should be a few in Belapur, sanpada, juinagar

Sorry to burst your bubble. You got all three wrong. The ‘red planet’ is Mars. The two bright stars under Mars are Pollux and Castor (from the constellation Gemini). You will not get Neptune looking so bright on a phone camera! You’ll probably not even see it from Vijayawada! -
Weekly Career Discussion Thread (20 Jan 2025)
I am currently on my second semester of sophomore year of college. I have one year as a comp sci major and am currently a business major. I switched because I hated working with computers. I don't feel passionate about business, I just chose it because it was a safe option and can't figure out what I want to do. Thinking about switching to an engineering major; I have always been good at math and scored a 31 overall on my ACT. I'm passionate about art and music, and I want my career to feel like I'm making a difference in the world. Should I switch majors again? I feel like I'm smart enough to do it, but I'll feel behind switching again and I'm worried how long it will take me to earn my degree. Thanks.
