Idk what you do but, in a developer working for an mnc, and i can tell you AI isn’t going to do jack shit to my job. The reason why is, every company has their own unique business logic for each and every product and microservice. There is no ai capable of understanding the end to end functionality of a feature or a business process for every company. Every company would have to spend significant time and money to develop a tool that understands everything, and guess who will have to develop it? Humans, and even if a company manages to do it, all it takes is one production issue and i bet my house the ai won’t be able to figure it out. Fine, lets assume a company builds this also properly, STILL, its only specific to that one company, others will have completely different set of use cases and requirements. Its much easier to hire people develop and maintain code. Only really rich companies can even think about developing a tool that advanced, the smaller ones cannot.

With that being said, AI is not useless at all, my life as a developer has become so much easier because of chatgpt, any errors in the syntax and such are so much easier to fix now, but i still have to understand how that piece of code fits in with the feature specific to my company, which chat gpt cannot do.

Writing essays for college applications has become so much easier, getting advice about small things related to diet or workouts has become so much easier.

Ai will replace redundant jobs like call center agents, bank tellers etc

Dw, just focus on building a good skillset, everything will be fine. Ai is just going to make our lives easier and no more, atleast for our generation

Then when those expresways also become overcrowded and badly maintained, will they create new rashtriya teevre path toll roads so we can actually travel fast? And will those teevre path have license plate recognition based auto toll from your PAN associated account?
