My oldest son is a born and brought up in the US kid who has limited knowledge of Indian languages (knows only a smattering of words/sentences in Hindi, Malayalam and Tamil) but is fluent in Spanish and Latin.

He was working part time as front line worker at the Indian grocery store of my friend during the pandemic where a self aggrandizing prick of a customer gave him a very hard time for not knowing that Dhania is Cilantro aka Coriander.

Similar experience for my youngest also when he visited Europe last summer where everyone took it for granted that he is from India. He is fluent in Mandarin (Chinese) and so told him to reply back in that language if they were too pesky but he preferred to smile and say "sorry am American and don't understand what you are telling me" which made them feel stupid and carry on the conversation in English. 🤭😁

People crying against cbn remarks dont know how population dynamics work. Having overpopulation is a natural part of any country’s development. Later it’ll reach a steady state (if family planning is implemented). But any mistakes in this process will lead to a stage of contraction iirc. Where the population starts falling. Then its really difficult to bounce back. Having 3 kids is the sweet spot. People will realise in ~2050.

I dont blame people criticising him. Current dinancial conditions are not feasible for three kids. Also a politician words will never be tsken seriously. I wish experts n ngos explain the problem to people.

2 years ago, I went to give my scooter for service, while returning I decided to walk since it was only 2-3 km and it was a beautiful Sunday morning, some creep started following me, he almost followed me for 1.5 km on his bike, near university grounds, I initially thought it was coincidence, when I realized he was actually looking at me, I pretended to loudly speak on the phone telling about my location and that some creep was following me and I'm calling the police, that scared his ass.

Wanted to report his vehicle, but previous experience with police of that area made me realize it would be of no use.

Stopped walking since then, only went by vehicle.
