Boys are born but a man will be made from pain,rejection,failure and hardship.

Apart from doctor/psychiatrist consults and getting a proper diagnosis, taking the medication prescribed is the number one priority. Someone in the family needs to be dedicated towards ensuring he takes the medication regularly. My mom has paranoid schizophrenia and getting her to take her medication daily is such a struggle.

As for which doctor/hospital, I'm afraid I do not have any recommendations for places where you can admit a patient, but we have been seeing a psychiatrist in Anna Nagar for the past couple of years for my mom and she's pretty good. Don't lose faith and take care!

I see a similar problem where I work but with traditional mechanical design.

It made more sense when I found out the decision makers at director/executive level did not have an engineering background.

So what seems trivial/common sense proposals from mechanical design engineers, backed up by simulation/ physical testing (and based on sound first principles), were just being dismissed by non engineers because they simply do not understand.

Proposals were more successful if based on "what competitor X is doing" or "this projected market trend" etc.

The box around it was my idea too, it gives wall space to hang tools, organisers etc. And doesn't make an elaborate process for covering/uncovering.

From a social engineering aspect: if you have a flat surface things will be put on it. So a cover that takes up floor space while uncovered will get things out on it, or when it's unfolded it will get something put on it

If you really want to cover it in a cool way I've got an idea that I don't know the right term for if I'm honest! Kind of like those old hand fans, basically you'd cut pieces the same shape as the steps, add a lip at the top back and the bottom front, attach them to the pole so they can rotate around it. This way, when you pull the bottom it slides until it catches the next piece, keep pulling and it extends and pulls the piece above until all of the pieces are at full extension. It's kind of a telescopic effect but radial. You could potentially replace the lip with a pin that slides in a channel routed in the cover above to give a shorter stack height and also catch the piece as it is sliding back to self reorganise
