I was going to make a post about the same. It is appalling how much garbage is lying on the streets. I remember some years ago, someone remarked "Bangalore is not the garden city, it is garbage city" and now, I can't unsee it. Except for a few areas in the city, everywhere else, there's piles of garbage.

My guess is that, waste is not properly/regularly collected by BBMP, and people carry their garbage and dispose it on the side of the roads. Nobody wants to hoard garbage at their homes.

In some areas, I've seen garbage disposal units but they're tiny compared to the population of the area. The garbage spills onto the streets.

I really, really wish (🧞‍♂️) that the govt did something about this. Pains me to see what a mess the city has become.

Quite often the women are better dressed than the men. That’s a real problem in the US too. I recently went to an expensive mall in the US that has its fine own art collection. The owners have their own public art museum that houses their family’s art collection.

I saw too many couples where the woman was beautifully dressed and the man looked like he had fallen out of bed.
