The problem is that you have to rank first in order to get found for "free backlinks" - which kind of defeats the purpose?

SEO is an unfair pyramid - with sites that rank getting 50% of the traffic in the first 2 positions and 99% of the 10m+ other results getting 0% and thus also earning all the free backlinks & keeping whole number CTR because people tend to accept the first result as the chosen one...

So you'll need to be a much more aggressive strategy.

Google doesn't rank faster sites, it de-ranks incredibly slow sites - there's a difference. These sites are **already** ranking - which means = they are fast enough. Being faster is not going to show your content is better etc. I'd give up on this one quickly, fail fast etc
