If you want to see the "old" Bangalore, I think Basavangudi is the best place to stay.

There is *Anand Inn* in **Netkalappa Circle** but the roads are under repair so you can check *BNS Lodge* which is in **DVG Road**.

BNS has good smell in the mornings due to the flower market which starts right outside.

All eateries are walk-able, but you'll have to take a cab/auto to visit Cubbon Park and surrounding areas.

Also the food street - VV Puram, is walk-able (bit far)

Best way would be to take a 2 wheeler loan for 24-36 months and pay off regularly. 2 wheeler loans are easiest to get from a plethora of nbfcs, but the interest rates would be eye watering.
