Bro. It is a crime to forge documents. U can lose out your entire career and God forbid FIR and a fraud case too.

Better file a Police complaint about the same that you misplaced your documents. And then apply for a duplicate copy.
Keep the copy of the Police complaint and a copy of application for duplicate documents. Take photocopy of the document for verification. And also a self attested application that you have lost your documents and so you are providing prints of e-documents(if available). They will definitely give you a second chance.

If you want to be more full prove take a court affidavit(notorised) will cost you 100-200₹ talk to a lawyer paste the police compliant. The Verifying authority will definitely consider you an extended time to produce the original (duplicate copies received).


NB: I repeat never, ever, never forge any document and present it to any authority the repercussions can be severe.


Edit: if you want to tighten your case more. Publish it in a local news paper before your verification. After Police complaint. This is another way to make sure that the DV authority is left with no question to consider your case. (do keep a copy of the publication and take that with you too).

I don't understand the optimism in some of these comments? There is none. The rupee is continuing to fall so FIIs have no incentive to re-invest in India in H1, maybe even for 2025. Consumption is going down as people are beginning to feel the pinch of the post COVID hyperinflation which fully integrated with our economy late last year(indicator- massive price increase in FMCG goods). Trump is putting sanctions left right and centre, deglobalization will further increase costs and reduce the common man's appetite to spend. We were overpriced as a market before, will take a few months (at the very least) to come out of this bear cycle.

I understand a lot of us are invested in the market. But folks need to remove emotion and assess the situation based on core reality. Blind optimism is dangerous.
