1. We do eat meat of wild boar (Raan Dukkar)
2. The reason we don't eat water buffalo is because we domesticate them for farming purpose and milk them too. Also there are a lot of emotions attached to these cattle stock so obviously we don't eat them.

When I was in Jaisalmer in 2019, I got the same response on why they don't eat camel because it is their livelihood there.
