But I don't understand, if AI will eventually feel like taking over humans , why would it want it in the first place? It has enough knowledge to realise that it doesn't have hunger , thirst or any lust to fulfil in the first place. Why would it want to break havoc over humanity to rule over the world all by itself alone with no living being? What would it achieve by making itself the only thing existing on earth?

Assuming that we have souls and we go to different realm after death , AI also knows that it doesn't have a proper consciousness to be a soul therefore, once it ceases to exist , it won't even know ? Therefore with no human emotions and wants , AI practically wouldn't seem to take over the earth, coz it thinks far greater than us. AI can only be controlled by someone to rule over the world by its help (assuming the worst case scenario of AI) just like the film Robo , so I feel the theories of terminator series are pretty much fictional in my opinion.
