You mother suffered from (at least borderline if not full fledged diagnosable) narcissistic personality disorder. You've been a victim. Probably even gaslighted into believing she was doing you a favor controlling you, as she did.

It is also of course possible you have developed NPD too, if it runs in the family or are role modeling her behaviours. That only those who call you a narcissist can confirm. I'm sure there are other behaviours you exhibit, that are not listed here. Your brother sounds narcissistic too.

It's however more likely you have ptsd from life long emotional abuse and unable to function as a normal adult. You definitely do need therapy or at least a diagnosis to at least have a chance at a healthy, happy, peaceful life after having such a disturbing parent.
