If you wish to travel inside the city

1) Install the OLA or Rapido app and never trust a local auto driver who will charge you more.

2) Most of the locals will be friendly to you because you are a foreigner but also there will be desperate scammers who try to loot you.

3) Book a nice 3 star or 5 star hotel/motel. I reccomend you Raddison blue that is situated in Nvidia junction, Avinashi road.

4) Don't try local street food since you are not familiar with spice, it will give you diarrhea.

5) Coimbatore is a city, if you wish to see the beauty of nature, try visiting the city outskirts like Sriuvani, Isha yoga or monkey falls.

If you have a local trusted person to accompany your journey, you will have a nice time. Try to get one.

I would add scriptability to that list -- AppleScript (yes despite its awful syntax) & AppleScript/ObjC, Automator, & Shortcuts are great resources.

One serious downside is the forced obsolescence of the hardware that it has to run on.
