When I was in class 9th, one of my cousin got married. The bride and her sister were supposed to get married on the same day so there were two barats.

Long story short, the jealousy streak started in baraat dance and went on till the reception area. There was a literal food fight between both the groom parties, cameraman was running around saving his camera, I saw his assistant holding two limca bottles in one hand running behind him.

Both the bride and groom were on stage sitting on sofas looking at the chaos and I along with my cousin’s were sent in the room and we saw everything from the balcony of the window. A man was tied near tandoor, one of my uncle had his hair covered in Gulab jamun chashni, my favourite bhaiya had rice in his hair and on his clothes, there were roti’s and puri’s flying in air, some people were trying to put a man in tandoor, both the horses were neighing. Panditji was sitting behind the stage along with his Pooja thali.

It all stopped because my mamaji who was a TI back then went to stop his son from fighting slapped his dad, that’s story for another time.

When the fight was stopped, both the couples spoke to each other, left the venue and took liberty to travel to Jaipur for their honeymoon without the formalities being completed 😂 Then there was commotion due to that.

It happened somewhere around 2003/04, the best wedding I ever attended 😂 too bad I couldn’t record it but I’m still laughing while writing this.

Oh and I forgot, the bride father didn’t give any Shagun to any of the groom or their family as they destroyed all the preparations.
