My grandfather was a landless labourer. My father, as a kid, along with his 4 sisters, were never sure if they will get to eat food on a particular day. Then my father became an orphan at the age of 14 (~1985). No money, no property to his name, just 1 buffalo, which was taken by some relative.

But today, thanks to him our family is living a very comfortable life. Getting out of poverty, without anyone's help, is possible, but requires dedication and sheer fucking will.
