I used to frequent train travel before 2018 mostly between Salem and Cbe. I will get tickets only in trains moving in South or starts at some nearby places. It will be good *better than buses.

Trains coming from north will have toilets so bad that half the compartment smells & would have spit everywhere.

Another incident, I was in Delhi few months ago and was excited to go to Nehru palace for electronics mainly a PC shop. When I was was there and was watching a YT video on how to reach & Where's the shop and all, The shop is in 3rd floor and the whole place is just building placed in pan strains with garbage everywhere and even northie YTer was slightly uncomfortable. I decided I would just pay more to local shops than going there.

We need 5 times ac/ non AC buses 8-11 running in the IT corridor. And have autos as last mile connectivity... Only then traffic would be manageable

The problem wasn't about Hindi vs English. The problem was and still is about thinking Hindi is superior to other Indian languages.

Agreed TamilNadu has been at the forefront of fighting against language imposition. Credit to all the Tamil people there. I say this as a Telugu guy.

Hindi as a national language was never going to work. People who still believe it is our national language are just plain dumb unaware of reality.

Before there was nothing to compare it with. So it was the best. People who used to frequent the place go now due to nostalgia. Most of the 90s kids have had their first dates/first kiss etc there . There are other great cafes now.
