Nallasopara is basically a mini-Uttar Pradesh. A large portion of the people living here are from UP-Bihar and they have basically recreated the conditions of their home state here. They form the support base for the Thakur family who are the bahubalis (strongmen) here and run patronage networks (similar to how it works in UP). The region is absolutely filthy (compared to rest of Mumbai) and lawlessness and dadagiri is rampant (again just like their home state). Even some of the Muslim areas of Mumbai (which have a bad reputation) are way better than this shithole.
