What’s the best way for a lone man to spend weekends?
Try cafe hopping. I personally love to click pictures around a city and try out cheesecakes, momo or coffee wherever I find them. I know it's very specific, but you can give it a try. If you drink, bar hopping is another way to try good stuff and meet people. Meeting people doesn't mean you have to become friends with them. You can talk to the waiter, the manager, having quality conversation matters.
You know what, take up a project to design your house, the interiors. Move around the city, collect handcrafted pieces, something unique and design your house in a particular style. It can be boho, minimalist, Maximalist, brutalist, Indian, cottage core etc etc. Whatever suits your style.
If you are a plant collector, you can visit nurserys and find unique photos, cactuses etc.
Having goals are important. Have a house renovation goals for 6 months. Plant collection goals for 3 months. Try visiting the top rated cafes or bars within 6 months. Have a to-do-list to visit all the touristy place in the city if there is anything left. Don't order in food, go to the restaurant, dress up and go to the location.
All these suggestions are assuming you have enough money to do all of this. -

Is Lulu Mall worth a visit?
I don't think going to Lulu would help you buy the stuff you mentioned. Chala market, Palayam market, Ramachandran (it'd be crowded in that area though) would be good I think. -

Is it only me who is not interested in the India vs Pakistan match?
Same here, not at all interested in cricket anymore. Used to be that school boy who used to have stomach aches to bunk class to watch Sachin play Warne. The last cricket match I watched was the 2011 WC final. -

As a North Indian tired of seeing hate between us, I’d like know from South Indians themselves whats wrong? And how to make it right?
This is a common thing that I've seen, not generalizing, but something that I found happening in front of me again and again -
1. No civic sense - littering, spitting, being rough with people, not being polite, showoffs, I own this place attitude.
2. Expecting the whole of India to speak Hindi because you are comfortable and fluent in it. Also stating that others should learn to speak Hindi since it's the national language of India. Sis please!
3. Calling South Indians "Madrasi", "idli-sambar", now the new crowd favorite "saar".
4.Not respecting others' culture, especially if you happen to shift to that particular area/region/state/country.
5. Making fun of a south Indian's accent when they are talking in Hindi. It's difficult to learn the gender part and pronounce certain words, but even that is made fun of instead of appreciating the fact that Hindi was spoken and you understood the message that they were trying to communicate.
6. Making fun of their skin colour and giving them names accordingly.
7. Not knowing the names of the South Indian states. Also the languages - kannada, telugu, Tamil, malayalam, tulu, etc. (all these languages don't sound the same and aren't the same).
8. Having an aggressive attitude - the "my way or the highway" way of handling things.
How to make it right? It's very easy - Be kind to people. Treat others like how you treat your family. Be considerate. It's basic things like this that make a human being a human. -

What is the difference between Mala Jaap and Naam Jaap?
App is modern way. To satisfy self and form new habits esp when physical mala ain't there.
Jaap is repitation
Naam jaap is name
No rules in it
Simple name of any god
Mantra jaap is well, mantra
Has rules - clear SOP
Not the taken lightly
May require training and initiation
Both jaap can be done on mala
Mala is just counter
Hence,
All jaap done with mala as counter is mala jaap
When done with mala
Naam jaap can be mala jaap
Mantra jaap can be mala jaap
