Drop year is hard to explain when you're in an interview but you can easily get around it by lying ofc. Other than that drop year ppl undergo depression due to FOMO and/or family pressure. Some even fall for the trap of thinking that they have a lot of time and end up wasting all of it. It won't destroy your career or anything but yes dropping a year isn't for people with weak mentality.
