Indians are racist, you will struggle to fit in, if you are a woman, they will think of you as a prostitute/scammer/drug dealer, if you are a male they will think of you as scammer/drug dealer. every interaction with government autorities will be hard, they will keep asking you to show your identification documents. night time travel can get risky, you will have to watch what you wear even. all in all...i would say, if you are a black or a mixed race person, best is to avoid India.

I know this because, i saw it happen before my own eyes. i had briefly dated a person who had an indian mom and a nigerian dad, they were raised in India and are Indian but have faced day to day racisim...it wrecked their mental health, it wrecked their career, the cops filed a case against a bunch of nigerians for drug peddling, this womans name got added to the FIR because the cops thought she was with them,because she was black... she was picked up because the cops were picking up every black person in the city that one month, the case was sensational involving the movie industry...just avoid India.
