My dad is fair & my mom is dark. My elder sis turned out to be fair like my father. Then came me after a huge gap. When I was born my grandma ( my mom's mother ) kept betting that I will turn dark only like my mom or wheatish at most. But I turned out to be fair like my dad.

So apparently this is my grandma's way of getting back at my dad. He does own business & my uncle (mom's brother) joined him at a very young age (late teens). But as he was immature & finally parted ways seeking his own journey.

We later reunited when my baby cousin bro was born. He is working in IT with decent salary but my grandma always despises us mostly. My mom spends out of the way without my dad's knowledge, yet she can't win my grandma's heart. Idk what else to tell.

[ my grandma's logic is if I was dark, then my dad had to work even more hard to give me more dowry for marriage in addition to my "normal" "fair" sis ]
