I feel you. I'm from the city and it's been quite disappointing how the city has changed so much in terms of food, people and service, I agree with you. I miss the Hyderabad during my school and college years. I must say the Biryani was to die for, now it's just fuck all garam masala mixes. It's so mid.
The people were more hospitable but now I see a sudden shift of atmosphere where people are kinda hostile to outsiders (as you can see from the comment above where people can't take mere criticism and tell you to book return tickets) lol. This is not my Hyderabad.
However, I still feel Secunderabad holds the charm and has some amazing food, reasonable prices and great scene in general. Do check it out, if you haven't.
