Queues are an invention of western imperialism and imposed on the rest of the world through western colonialism. Before the white man stepped foot in Asia we were all free from the tyranny of queues. It is not in the nature of the east to form such ordered structures. The fact that Indians don't queue well is evidence enough that it is not in their nature to do so. But why do queues seem so necessary? It is because Indians, post Independence, have inherited the western form of government and imitated other western institutions whose efficiency relies on the formation of queues. Think of it as an incompatibility between software and hardware. Indian hardware was not designed to create queues but the software we've installed requires the hardware to make queues. The Indian hardware does its best to run the software. In the end the system becomes inefficient. We should install a different software that is compatible with our hardware. Meaning restructure government and institutions that don't need queues to be formed. The tragedy is that we have used the queue government and institutions for so long we don't know what life without queues was like back in those days. It's almost like the queue cult has squashed away our history, and distorted the past to seem like there has never been any alternative to the queue system. I'm sure they're keeping us from knowing the truth. Maybe we'll never know. For now it seems BIG QUEUE has won but I sense a spirit of rebellion brewing amongst us Indians. Someday I'm sure we can overthrow the queue and bring back forth a queueless utopia. One can dream.
